Ledger® Live* Desktop

Take control of your cryptocurrency portfolio with Ledger Live Desktop. Effortlessly monitor balances, transactions, and market trends in one intuitive platform.

As of my last update in January 2022, Ledger Live Desktop is primarily designed to work with Ledger hardware wallets, such as Ledger Nano S and Ledger Nano X. Ledger has built its software ecosystem specifically to integrate seamlessly with its hardware wallets, providing users with a unified and secure experience.

However, Ledger Live Desktop doesn't directly support hardware wallets from other manufacturers. Each hardware wallet typically comes with its own companion software for managing cryptocurrency assets. For example, Trezor hardware wallets have their own software suite called "Trezor Suite" or "Trezor Wallet."

That said, some third-party services or applications might offer compatibility with multiple hardware wallets, allowing users to manage their assets from different manufacturers within a single interface. These services often use standardized protocols such as the Universal 2nd Factor (U2F) or WebAuthn for authentication and transaction signing.

If you're interested in using Ledger Live Desktop with a hardware wallet from another manufacturer, it's worth exploring whether any third-party solutions offer such compatibility. However, it's essential to ensure that any third-party software or service you use maintains the same level of security and trustworthiness as Ledger Live Desktop to safeguard your cryptocurrency assets. Always research and verify the security practices of any service you plan to use, especially when it involves managing sensitive financial information.
